Piper

A newly hatched sandpiper chick is being lured by it's mother to venture from the safety of it's sandy burrow and to take to the shoreline to find some lunch. Tempted, it finally sets forth across the sand but it's still awaiting feeding. Nope, says she - time to fend for yourself - and that's when the youngster encounters the menacing waves! Bedraggled and a bit afraid, it returns to the safety of it's nest only to be coaxed out again - trepidatiously! A friendship of sorts with a tiny crab might just help overcome seaside nerves and who knows, there may even be some swimming, even some flyin...
